The Challenge

The Swann Group is a well known HR and Executive Search player specifically in the mining, natural resources and industrial sectors, with big name clients like BHP Billiton as part of their client base.

Although the group had grown into an international entity, the original Swann Group website’s design prevented it from showcasing the Group as a global player with over twelve offices across seven continents. The challenge for Next Digital Shanghai was to develop a design and site architecture that demonstrated this global nature of the Swann Group and do it with simple, clean and clear design and branding.

Our Strategy

Next Digital Shanghai worked closely with the Swann Group Shanghai team to design a website that combined Flash and an Umbraco content management system which enabled the Swann Group to showcase its global offices and offer multiple contact streams throughout the website.

Using a Sales–Funnel approach, we proposed the use of multiple mini-modules (contact us, subscription and a Flash map) that appeared throughout the site’s content pages to allow users to get in touch with the Swann Group office that was most suitable to them quickly, without having to browse away from the content pages they were viewing.

Swann Global also required a unique design for their E-mail Newsletter design – the “Swann Times”, for which Next Digital Shanghai delivered e-mail template designs and also a stunning, vector logo of an origami paper swan.

The Results

The Swann Global website (link this to http://www.swannglobal.com) is now a branding success, giving the company’s key associates the tools and confidence to go out and sell the company’s executive recruitment services. With a new design and branded e-mail newsletter, Swann Global can share its thought leadership and knowledge with its existing client base and new subscription leads, effectively developing this acquisition channel.
